We are looking for a Sales Trainer to join the Sales Training & Development team which supports both the Annuity & Life divisions. While collaborating with the entire organization, this role will be primarily focused on delivering new hire training and additional coaching and development support to the internal sales teams. This role will be involved in all aspects of sales training: planning, building, delivering, supporting, and coaching new hires. The ideal candidate for this role will be results oriented – not just delivering training - but truly striving to help our newest internal sales team members become productive and effective quickly.

Responsibilities:

    • Acts as the training lead for internal new hire training and onboarding. Content areas include product, sales messaging, illustrations, technology tools, phone skills, and more.
    • Delivers onboarding training in an engaging fashion; delivery includes both live and virtual classroom environments.
    • Consults and collaborates with sales managers and the training team to identify training needs and to ensure course content, training methods, and materials meet those needs.
    • Assists with the development of training content & related learning activities.
    • Assists in creating, organizing & planning training classes for new hires (and those in their first year). Ensures all supporting aspects of training delivery are met, including communications, scheduling, facilities coordination, participant tracking, reporting etc.
    • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments and feedback. Continuously looking for ways to improve/enhance the training to deliver results.
    • Performs other related duties as required.
    • Periodic travel (less than 25%)

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree and three years of financial services experience
    • Understanding of annuities and the annuity sales process
    • Strong knowledge of annuity products, uses, messaging, and competitive landscape
    • Experience delivering training or education is preferred
    • Ability to build trusted relationships
    • Solid presentation skills, with ability to captivate attention and motivate behavior
    • Skilled communicator possessing strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent planning, organizing, coordinating, and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
    • Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); CRM and illustration experience is preferred.
Location: Cincinnati office (Covington, KY) preferred, will consider remote.
This position is a hybrid or virtual/work from home position subject to our virtual workplace standards

Salary and Incentives:
Pursuant to Colorado law, Protective is providing the applicable salary range for Colorado residents. Salary Range Specific to Colorado: $60,000 to $85,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.
This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance (EIP).
